Fernando Alonso, the former 2-time F1 World Champion, is entering his 350th Grand Prix this weekend in Singapore and is going to break the all-time Grand Prix starts record of F1 legend Kimi Raikkonen.

Kimi Raikkonen said adieu to the pinnacle of motor racing last year and was able to become the outright record holder for the most number of Grand Prix starts.

However, with Fernando still going strong in F1, Finn’s record is going to get shattered when the Spaniard will take on the tarmac at the Marina Bay Circuit this weekend.

Kimi Raikkonen had a wonderful career in F1 during which he was able to become an F1 Champion with the Ferrari F1 team, moreover, to date, he is the Maranello-based team’s last Champion.

While Kimi exited the sport at the end of last year, Alonso is still at the grind and is doing an exceptional season for the Alpine team. At 41 years of age, the Spaniard has been able to push the A522 to its max and has garnered a lot of praise for his grit and determination.

During the course of the 2022 F1 season, there were doubts Alonso would be in the sport next year, however, all the doubts were put to bed when Aston Martin announced that have brought the prolific Spaniard on board for next season.

Fernando Alonso has jumped base from Alpine to Aston Martin for 2023, and it is believed that the Silverstone-based team signed Alonso because of how well he has been able to perform this year.

Fernando Alonso, despite his age, is showing no signs of slowing down and this is one of the main factors that has helped him in adding a few more years to his F1 career.

In the current campaign, the Alpine driver has scored 66 points after 16 races and is ninth in the Drivers Championship behind teammate Esteban Ocon.

Moreover, there are six races left in the season, and considering the performance levels of Fernando Alonso, would he be able to finish the 2022 campaign ahead of Ocon?
