F1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz were among the many athletes to congratulate fellow Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz after his triumph over 23 Grand Slam men’s singles champion Novak Djokovic. Alcaraz made history by defeating the tennis legend and claiming his first Wimbledon title. The sports community celebrated his victory, including the Double world champion Fernando Alonso and Ferrari icon Carlos Sainz.
Carlos Alcaraz is just 20 years old and has shocked the tennis world with his impeccable skills. This is his second Grand Slam title, and he defeated one of the greatest players of all time, Djokovic. The Spanish community showed their love for the young tennis star and were happy to witness the rise of a prodigy. Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz congratulated Carlos Alcaraz on his social media platforms. He tweeted, “Incredible. Congratulations crack, proud of you!” While Sainz is the second Spaniard to win a Formula 1 race, Alcaraz became the third Spaniard to win at Wimbledon. The first two were the iconic players Rafael Nadal and Manuel Santana.

It is safe to say that Sainz and Alonso are proud of their countryman. Previously, the duo had wished Rafael Nadal when he was out breaking records in the tennis world. It is how they say sports bring a nation together, as the country is celebrating its superstar.
Carlos Alcaraz lost the first set to Djokovic but made up for it in the next two sets. And though Djokovic showed a strong performance, in the fifth set, a nail-biting one, saw Alzaraz win 1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4. He took his first Wimbledon victory and made history. It was a thrilling match between two great players. And F1 drivers Sainz and Alonso were two athletes among the many to enjoy Alcaraz’s win.
Carlos Sainz had revealed previously that tennis legend Rafael Nadal was his idol as he brought glory to Spain. His other role models include fellow F1 driver Fernando Alonso. The latter made his country proud by winning two Formula 1 championships, and Sainz hopes to follow his path and bring glory to his country.
