Fernando Alonso, the former 2-time F1 world champion, had a very successful 2023 season. He was able to put the AMR23 through the absolute wringer and while the sport is at a halt, he has taken the time to claim that 2024 will pan out even better for his team.

During the initial part of last year, it was Aston Martin who was somewhat able to take the fight to the mighty Red Bulls. However, after an initial burst, they went into a slump to eventually make a solid recovery by the end of the campaign.

Alonso is pleased seeing the work that has been put in at the factories ahead of this year’s campaign and while talking about it on Aston Martin’s X handle, he said,

Looking at the reaction of the 42-year-old veteran of F1, it is quite clear that he is very optimistic ahead of the highly anticipated 2024 season. Moreover, has indicated that everyone is putting their best foot forward regarding the development of the car.

While Fernando Alonso has oozed immense confidence ahead of the 2023 F1 season, he was one of the standout performers of 2023. On the back of his sensational exploits, he was able to amass a brilliant eight podium finishes and was able to end his season in fourth place in the driver’s championship.

Had Alonso had a bit of luck riding on his side, he then, could have also made a serious claim to end the season in the third position. Ahead of the former seven-time F1 world champion, Lewis Hamilton.

Despite being in his 40s, Alonso is at the peak of his powers and has not yet lost any of his blistering raw pace. He mesmerized the fans, media, and pundits, last year with his impressive exploits, and considering this, much of the same will be expected of him from the Bahrain GP onwards.
