Fernando Alonso claims he’s ‘lucky’ to be in the same F1 paddock as ‘legend’ Adrian Newey

Fernando Alonso, the former 2-time F1 world champion, has been sparkling his magic at the pinnacle of motor racing for several years. While he’s a veteran of the sport, so is the Red Bull technical director, Adrian Newey. Alonso feels that he is lucky to have shared the F1 paddock with him for so many years.
Adrian Newey is a Red Bull legend who has been the mastermind behind the several world-championship cars that the Austrian outfit has been able to produce over the years. The mighty RB19 was also his work and Fernando Alonso, considering the stature of the Brit, believes that he is an absolute legend.
Fernando Alonso showered praise on Adrian Newey by recounting the number of times they wished to work together.
He’s a legend of the sport. We’ve been very close a few times to working together and we spoke about this. I remember when he published a book a few years ago in Spain, I had the privilege to do the first page, the prologue. Fernando Alonso is still going strong in F1
While Fernando Alonso has admitted that Adrian Newey is a legend of the pinnacle of motor racing, the former’s one of the main goals for containing in F1 in his 40s is to have at least one more go at the coveted F1 world championship. Alonso ardently feels that he has one championship run left in him.
He is currently 42 years old and leading up to the 2023 F1 season, there were question marks whether he would be able to keep up with the young guns of the sport. However, he proved all his doubters wrong with the eye-catching performances he put on show in the cockpit of Aston Martin’s AMR23.

Fernando Alonso despite his again body, is still determined to do well in F1 and is willing to put in the hard yards. He is a role model for the younger generation and the lights of Max Verstappen and a few others have several times admitted to being a big fan of him.
