The Aston Martin F1 team rose from the ashes during the 2023 F1 season and took the sport by storm, at least during the first leg. While the outfit ran out of steam during the second leg, their improved performances were down to the people they hired from Red Bull ahead of the campaign.
Aston Martin hired Red Bull’s Head of Aerodynamics, Dan Fallows, which worked wonderfully for them last year. Continuing with the trend, they have now brought on board the Austrian outfit’s Hungarian engineer, Andor Hegedus.
He will join the Fernando Alonso-led team in the capacity of Senior Project Designer. Hegedus is happy with his switch and thus, he recently said, on his official LinkedIn account:
We wear green in the next chapter. I am very happy to start a new stage as a senior project designer at Aston Martin. Thank you very much for the support and messages.(H/T: Soymotor)
Looking at the reaction of the engineer, it seems that he is on cloud 9 with his switch to the Silverstone-based Aston Martin F1 team. Moreover, he has taken the time to thank the people for their kind messages.
Would Aston Martin be able to pull off a better campaign than 2023 this year?
While Aston Martin has made a positive move with the appointment of the former Red Bull engineer, the question remains, as to how well they would do during the upcoming campaign. The green-colored outfit managed a fifth-place finish in the Constructors last year.
Fernando Alonso, the former 2-time F1 world champion, led the team’s charge brilliantly and it was because of his efforts, that Aston Martin was able to do well. Lance Stroll, on the other hand, had a season to forget.

Keeping in view everything that has been discussed above, several people are going to have their eyes on the AMR24 during the 2024 F1 season. Alonso could be seen in the championship picture if things turn out well for them in the upcoming weeks/months.
