Mike Krack, Aston Martin’s team boss opens up about the process and reasons to sign Fernando Alonso. Alonso a two-time world champion signed a multi-year contract with Aston Martin Racing and will race with a green suit starting in 2023. The 41-year-old still hopes to bring his third title even though he has raced for 20+ years as of now. Aiming for the top Fernando backs his decision to continue racing believing AMR to give him a top-paced car next season.

Sebastian Vettel last week announced his retirement at the end of the 2022 season. He gave up a seat beside Lance Stroll that just after a week is filled with another world champion. Stroll is in a continuous process of being treated by champions giving him advice better than a normal one. Mike Krack makes this a reasonable reason to back the team with experience and youth balancing things at a time. He has high hopes from Fernando to take back the team into winning ways after struggling a lot this time around.

Mike Krack believes in the experience Alonso will bring and everyone on the grid understands the race craft this 41-year-old has. Krack looks for the top row with crucial information Alonso will give in building the AMR23.

“The team has a new leadership focused on the development of AMR23, and we are all thrilled that they and our future projects will benefit from the knowledge and experience that Fernando will bring,” said Mike Krack.

Aston Martin is currently P9 in the championship with considerably the worst Qualifying car on the track. Though the drivers have a decent pace on the race day to finish on points but as a team, Aston Martin is struggling to cope.
