Lewis Hamilton has spent his entire F1 career in just two teams, McLaren and Mercedes. The British driver became synonymous with both teams during his respective stints. It seems that Hamilton had a different plan for his future. The seven-time world champion was growing frustrated with Mercedes’ struggles in the past couple of seasons. Perhaps, Hamilton was not happy with the team’s progress over the winter and wanted to take on a new challenge. Ferrari was certainly the best opportunity for the 39-year-old due to the team’s racing legacy. The seven-time world champion could even join Ferrari in the upcoming season.

Certainly, Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari would be one of the most iconic pairs in the history of motorsport. Hamilton is the most successful driver in F1 with the Scuderia being the most successful team in the sport’s history. However, fans will need to wait till there is an official announcement about this move in the coming days.
