Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, the drivers for Ferrari, put on outstanding performances in both the practice and qualifying sessions at the Bahrain GP on Friday. This brings in a lot of hope to the team as well as for the Tifosies. The Monegasque came 2nd in qualifying, behind Max Verstappen, but was the fastest car on the day as he set the best time of the session in Q2.

The team principal Fred Vasseur was very happy with the results that the team brought in, during qualifying. Though the race is still remaining, The team principal seems to have an optimistic view when it comes to race day results. He hinted that while Red Bull has a clear advantage, Ferrari can maybe squeeze in and secure a win.

It's really hard to gauge what the gaps are, in terms of race pace. Behind Max, the situation seems quite close. We'll see tomorrow. We have a good feeling about it.
Fred Vasseur said.

All the Ferrari fans are now holding their breaths as to whether this year Charles Leclerc will be able to break his Bahrain curse from last year and bring home the victory. There is still a possibility that his teammate the Spaniard might be the one who brings home the win, but overall, it will be a happy weekend for the Tifosi who went through an emotional rollercoaster ride last season.

Charles Leclerc was not entirely thrilled with his qualifying performance

The 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix will see Charles Leclerc start from the front row. He finished two-tenths behind pole-sitter Max Verstappen in qualifying. But the Monegasque driver felt a bit let down due to knowing he had the speed to start in the first place in the race but wasn’t able to secure that place.

Leclerc could have taken the first pole position of the year if he had equaled Verstappen’s Q3 time, as his lap time in Q2 was faster than Verstappen’s Q3 time. The Monegasque driver tried hard, but couldn’t quite make it.

The Monegasque driver stated that according to him during Q3, they lost rhythm due to driving on used tires. Due to this, he was indeed a bit disappointed. But the Moneqasque driver still holds a chance to redeem and bring home a win in the Bahrain Grand Prix.
