“Fu**ing why? What are we doing,” Charles Leclerc goes bonkers on the team radio after Red Bull undercut works successfully

Charles Leclerc in Monaco
The race start was getting in the hands of Charles Leclerc, after the race start got delayed by almost an hour due to a very heavy rain. However, Leclerc led the race after starting 1st in the rolling start behind the safety car. Soon enough, some of the cars started shifting to intermediates from the wets, setting in the fastest laps, and so did the Ferrari of Leclerc. At around the same time, Carlos Sainz stated that he would shift directly to slicks.
Just within a few laps, cars behind the grid started to pit for slicks, on hard tyres. Interestingly enough, Charles Leclerc, who had just pitted for intermediates, was asked to come in as well, and then asked to stay out the moment he was inside.

Leclerc had no time to stay out, and had to pit for hards, which saw him moving from P1 to P4 within no time. Charles raged out on the radio for his engineer to call him in for the wrong strategy, which saw him losing places to his rivals, and soon, both the Red Bulls pitted for hards as well, but did not lose position to Charles.

Leclerc loses lead right before the red flag.

Even though Leclerc lost positions, a virtual safety car was deployed and almost immediately, the safety car was deployed after Mick Schumacher went off in the swimming pool chicane, and his car split into two. The race was red flagged after a few laps under the safety car. Many of the drivers seem to be changing their tyres, as they are allowed to do so under red flag conditions, and this might as well provide Charles an opportunity to overtake and come under the podium positions.
It is infamously said that Charles Leclerc has the “Monaco curse,” as he has never finished a race in his own country; DNFs in 2018 and 19, and a gearbox failure right before the start of the race in 2021 made it happen.
As the race restarts on a rolling start, Verstappen has put on a fresh set of mediums and Leclerc is on a used set of hards, on P4.
