George Russell and Lewis Hamilton seemed to have gotten well together off the track despite Mercedes’s struggles on it. The German manufacturers have been used to occupying the top steps of the podium in the last few years but the story has been pretty different this year around. Following the massive overhaul in regulations, there has been a shift in power dynamics of Formula 1.

Out of the two drivers, Lewis Hamilton has been the more troubled one. The seven time world champion has had one of the worst starts to the season as he has only been able to secure only one podium in the first five races. But it has just not been the results, the performance has just been up to the mark as he has severely been affected by porpoising issues. But, it’s just not the end of his problems.

Lewis Hamilton has been at loggerheads with the FIA following the jewelry clampdown. The governing body declared ban on jewelry. The reason give behind the ban has been the presence of the rule in the rule book for the longest time but hasn’t been applied. Lewis Hamilton has publicly opposed the decision which is why he was given a grace of two races to remove the jewelry.

Despite being in such a heated environment with the FIA, Lewis Hamilton shared a hilarious interview with George Russell which ended up with the latter giving him some advice.

Lewis: “What I am aware of, is that those who are married are allowed to wear the wedding ring...”

George Russell: “You just need to get married then!”

Lewis: “Nah, you first bruv!

We got to see the humorous side of both of them despite all of their struggles on the track. It’s imperative for Mercedes that both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell share a good relationship if they want to bounce back from this period of crisis and reach to the position where they are more used to be.
