Mattia Binotto resigned as team principal of Scuderia Ferrari at the end of 2022. The 53-year-old spearheaded the Italian team for four F1 seasons. However, after an unsuccessful title campaign last season, Binotto and Ferrari parted ways. Haas Team Principal Gunther Steiner recently talked about being in contact with the Italian. Steiner believed the former Ferrari Team boss would bounce back after this setback in his career.
Gunther Steiner was questioned by the media about his belief on whether Binotto was a victim of the Piranha F1 club. The 57-year-old dismissed the question. He replied, “I don’t know you have to ask him that.” Further, the Haas boss recalled his conversation with Mattia and mentioned the state of the 53-year-old. He continued, “I think he’s in a good place. I spoke with him at beginning of the week.”
Additionally, Steiner believes that Mattia Binotto can indeed get back from this career blow. The 57-year-old said, “I think a guy like Mattia will land on his feet.” Although Mattia will is presently on a 12-month gardening leave as agreed with the Scuderia. The Haas Team Principal had a great relationship with the former Ferrari F1 boss. The Netflix docuseries, ‘Drive to Survive’ portrayed their bond in its latest season as well.

Steiner indifferent to comments on Ferrari-Haas relationship
