The Canadian driver of Williams Racing has often been under immense scrutiny following the dramatic finale to the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The Canadian has become infamous for causing red flag incidents on the track which changes the dynamics on the tracks in terms of how the race had been faring. Latifi lost control of his FW44 during the Monaco Grand Prix formation lap, but he was able to continue and eventually finished at P15. Ferrari driver  Carlos Sainz claimed after the race that Latifi’s holding him up under the blue flags cost him the victory. The Williams driver is yet to score any point this season.

19. Lance Stroll

A fellow Canadian driver to Nicholas Latifi, Lance Stroll has failed to display confidence in the Aston Martin AMR22. During the final laps of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Stroll was in twelfth place, but dropped positions after colliding with Alex Albon. Because of a collision with Nicholas Latifi, for which Stroll received a penalty, he was unable to record a qualifying time for the Australian Grand Prix. The Aston Martin driver has managed to accumulate only a total of 3 points as of now.

18. Sebastian Vettel

The four-time Formula One World Champion is having a tough time in trying to adjust with the sub-par AMR22. Although Aston Martin has managed to copy Red Bull’s RB18’s layout, the AMR22 is giving a tough time to Sebastian Vettel. The season started out to be rocky for the German driver as he had to miss out on the first two races of the season after getting affected by COVID-19. The Aston Martin had two DNFs in the first-half of the season in the Miami Grand Prix and the Australian Grand Prix. The driver has had average qualifying results and has failed to climb up the grid.

17. Alex Albon

The British-Thai driver made a return to Formula One this season as a Williams driver following George Russell’s move to Mercedes. However, his results so far this season have fallen short of expectations. Albon beat Latifi in qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix, his first race for Williams, and placed twelfth overall. In the closing laps of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Albon was in 12th place, however he was disqualified after colliding with Lance Stroll. It wasn’t until the Australian Grand Prix that he earned his first Formula One point this season.

16. Yuki Tsunoda

The 22-year-old AlphaTauri has had a troubling start to the 2022 season of Formula One. Tsunoda placed ninth at the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix after qualifying sixteenth. He was unable to set a qualifying time at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix due to a fuel problem, and a power unit malfunction stopped him from starting the race. Later, he finished in fifteenth place without earning any points in the Australian Grand Prix. After collision with teammate Pierre Gasly in the 2022 British Grand Prix, which sent both of them spinning and cost them several spots, Tsunoda finished 14th, he later expressed regret for the accident.
