7-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton recently brought in his former friend and one of the key position holders in his team, Marc Hynes back to his management entourage after their separation following the conclusion of the 2021 season. Marc Hynes is a former British F3 Champion in his own right. He has worked with Hamilton between the 2016-21 seasons, this news of him coming back in an alliance with Hamilton has shaken the F1 world.
Ahead of the 2024 season, Hynes is supposed to provide his on-track expertise and will focus on the racing side of things in Hamilton’s camp, while the Briton prepares himself for the onset of the season. Lewis Hamilton had worked with Marc Hynes in the past and the Mercedes racer will naturally be elated now that the Briton is making a comeback.
Lewis is looking forward to the beginning of the new Formula One season and he will be working with Marc Hynes, his long-term friend and former colleague who will be providing his expertise to assist Lewis on the track. Marc will be solely focused on racing activities and supporting Lewis’s commitment to bringing the fight back to the top spot.A spokesperson for Lewis Hamilton told Telegraph Sport.
Aside from being a close friend since childhood, Marc was an invaluable member of his team but after the 2021 season, he left Hamilton’s side to focus on other businesses and various other aspects of his life. Following this, Hamilton brought in Penni Thow in place of Hynes, but this partnership came to an end after the contract’s term period.
How did Marc Hynes and Lewis Hamilton’s ties break down initially?
Marc held a prominent place in Hamilton’s management and also handled The Project 44 (or Mission 44) side of things. However, after the end of the 2021 season, Marc and Hamilton’s partnership ended on “amicable” terms and in turn, the Englishman hired Penni to take up the responsibilities of Hynes.
Under Thow’s management, Lewis had opened up various ventures under his name(Formation of Almave etc.). This partnership came to a natural end after the contract’s term was over and so it opened up a space in Hamilton’s team which is now filled by his friend, Marc Hynes.
The partnership between Hamilton and Hynes is at the beginning of a new phase, the F1 world would be keen to know how this reunion plays out, as Hamilton continues his Chase of first GP win since 2021, next season.
