Lando Norris is well known in the F1 paddock as the guy with the funny bones and ahead of the United States Grand Prix, the Brit has elaborated on his friendship with Daniel Ricciardo and former McLaren teammate, Carlos Sainz.
Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz were teammates at McLaren in 2019 and 2020 and the former feels that the Spaniard is one of his best mates on the current grid.
Moreover, he has also indicated that there are no ill feelings between him and Daniel and that he gets along well with the Australian as well.
In 2019, Lando was relatively new to F1 and so was Carlos Sainz, because they both were young, the Brit was able to make an instant bond with the Spaniard and experience a feeling of equality.
However, when Daniel joined the team in 2021, the situation was completely different as while Lando was still new to the sport, he was getting a former eight-time Grand Prix winner as a teammate.

Since Lando and Daniel have been working as teammates, rumors have swirled every now and then about the duo having some kind of tension between them.
However, the 22-year-old has recently put all the nonsense to bed by saying, “A little bit of the competition side of it, Daniel being experienced, me being still a relatively new guy.”
“People just wanted to try and bash our heads together and try and make it look like it really wasn’t anything great.”
Lando Norris has revealed that people on the outside try to make up stuff in order to create some kind of controversy and feels that not much attention should be paid to all such types of rumors.
Moreover, Lando has admitted that his bond with Carlos is completely different compared to Daniel, while stressing it, the Brit said, “I still get on really well with Carlos, he’s probably one of my best mates within the paddock.”
Lando Norris has made it known that there is no kind of rift between him and Daniel and has also revealed that Carlos Sainz is one of his best buddies on the F1 grid.
The bond that the duo share is special and it is going to continue for the foreseeable future as neither of them is parting ways with F1 anytime soon.
