“He will struggle to beat him,” Juan Pablo Montoya makes his choice in Max Verstappen- Charles Leclerc battle in Miami
Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix
Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc have been in the middle of an epic rivalry and we are just four races into the season. This battle between Ferrari and Red Bull has everything in it to become a classic and could very well go down to the wire. Imola GP was an indication of how it’s a battle on and off the track. The two produced a classic in a very different way as Max Verstappen wanted to maximize his points and Charles Leclerc wanted to minimize the damage.
We saw a resurgent Red Bull and Max Verstappen who put Ferrari under extreme pressure and in turn forcing an unforced error out of Charles Leclerc which saw his lead cut down to 27 points. It was not an ideal race for Ferrari but it’s something they need to learn from or this title race get out of their hands pretty quickly. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz did drop a lot of valuable points in the last race.
After a tough start to their campaign, Red Bull and Max Verstappen seem to have gotten it right. The problems were building up for the Milton Keynes outfit as they have had problems finishing the race. But, it felt like they got the balance spot on at the Imola GP. Red Bull secured a 1-2 in Ferrari’s backyard which saw them gain some valuable points in the constructor’s championship.
Max Verstappen could put one over Charles Leclerc in Miami, according to Juan Pablo Montoya
Juan Pablo Montoya seems to be convinced that Max Verstappen has an edge over Charles Leclerc. He said, “I think the biggest winner from a wet track would be Max.”
“Max would have a big advantage. He seems to be very strong and comfortable in the wet.”
“But, if the weekend remains dry, Montoya reckons the advantage could swing back towards Leclerc and Ferrari: “If it’s dry, I would probably put my money on Ferrari.”
“If the Max Verstappen from Imola shows up, Ferrari and Leclerc will struggle to beat him,” as reported by racingnews365.
This could be a very interesting race in the Miami as both the competitors look neck to neck with either of them capable of winning the race.
