“He won’t stay,” F1 Chief Advisor makes a shocking revelation about Max Verstappen’s racing future

Max Verstappen joined F1 full time in 2015 where he competed for Scuderia Toro Rosso for the whole season. He was partnered with Carlos Sainz where they had a great teammate battle during the season. At just 17 years and 166 days, Verstappen had become the youngest driver in Formula 1 history to take part in a race. It has been a long time since the Dutch driver’s debut, and he has gone on to break multiple records.
Red Bull had plans to make Max Verstappen their next world champion as they picked him up from F3 and directly shifted him to F1. While doing so, he became the youngest race winner in the sport’s history and proved his worth and shut down all his critics. It has been multiple years since his first race for Red Bull and Max has achieved more than 30 victories and also one World Championship.
After winning the title last year, Max Verstappen signed a long term contract a while later with Red Bull Racing that would go on till 2028. Although after a few recent interviews it has seemingly convinced Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko that the young protege could leave the sport after his stint is over. Dr Marko believes that Max is not a driver who is competing to beat record and in turn competes for fun. The Red Bull Racing head had a few thoughts to share on the current situation that has been developing in the team.

“I doubt if we will see Max drive until he has broken all records,” Helmut Marko states to the media regarding Max Verstappen’s future
Dr Marko further went to give his take on Verstappen’s situation. “We want to win more titles together,” Marko told Sport1. “But I doubt if we will see Max drive until he has broken all records,” he said.
“He could make it, but he’s also the type of person who packs his things and leaves when he no longer feels like it. No matter how much you offer him, he won’t stay. And that could happen sooner than we all think,” he continued.
Max Verstappen currently had the longest deal on the F1 grid with his commitments staying with Red Bull until 2028. Given the success that the young gun has achieved till now, he is more than happy with what he has achieved in the sport. After being in F1 for almost 7 years, he has had a lot of experience and has become a mature driver who manages to inch out every bit of performance from his car.
