The 2023 Hungarian GP has become a thing of the past but the noise around the podium drama is still very much alive. Lando Norris broke Max Verstappen’s P1 trophy in Hungary and the duo saw the funny side of things. However, unlike them, the Red Bull team adviser, Helmut Marko is not very pleased.

The Austrian is disappointed at the action of both drivers and ardently believes, that they need to be taught a lesson about how to appreciate special awards. Lando Norris broke Verstappen’s trophy by banging his champagne bottle on the podium and that made the latter’s trophy fall off the podium.

While a lot has been said about the actions of Norris and Verstappen since then, Marko has recently told racingnews365.com, “Hungarians are known for their love of precious porcelain. Even in our time they had beautiful dishes and vases. The copy of this goblet will come to our factory and I will teach Max to appreciate the original. Those young people must understand that first.

The 80-year-old veteran of the sport has made it known he is going to take the matter into his own hands and is going to teach his driver how to look after things that are special. It is a common belief that the 25-year-old Hungarian GP trophy took around 6 months to manufacture and had a worth of around 40,000 euros.

While Helmut Marko is a bit disappointed with the trophy drama that took place in Hungary, the fact cannot be ignored that Red Bull has been in menacing form during the ongoing 2023 F1 season. They have absolutely bashed its competition and this is one of the main reasons why the team has managed 12 consecutive victories in the sport.

Max Verstappen has brilliantly led the team’s charge so far in the 2023 season and while Sergio Perez has had his ups and downs, the Dutchman’s consistent performances have been able to compensate for them. As things stand, the Austrian outfit is comfortably leading both the Constructors and the Drivers Championship.

The F1 extravaganza has reached its last event before the start of the summer break and considering everything, Red Bull is again going to be the favorite to come out on top at the Spa-Francorchamps F1 circuit. The track supports fast racing and the RB19 has got loads of speed to prove itself as a lethal weapon at the track.
