The 2023 F1 season was dominated by the Red Bull F1 team with them winning a highly impressive 21 out of the 22 races. The outfit operated in a league of its own pretty much throughout the campaign and this is something, that has not sat well with the former F1 boss, Bernie Ecclestone.

Ecclestone in his 2023 Christmas card has taken an indirect did at the pinnacle of motor racing by indicating that this year’s F1 campaign was not exciting. The Red Bull team adviser, Helmut Marko has taken note of this fact and claimed that the Brit has taken a huge dig at the sport.

I'm sorry I couldn't think of anything exciting this year that was worth drawing. This is why I wish you all a peaceful and happy end of the year and I hope that 2024 brings only good things and that the world becomes a little more stable.
Bernie Ecclestone wrote in his Christmas card, as reported by FormulaPassion.it.

In response to Ecclestone’s not-so-subtle remark about F1 becoming too boring and bland, Red Bull Chief Advisor Helmut Marko had something to say too.

We received a big slap from Bernie [Ecclestone] for Christmas.

Looking at the reaction of Marko, it is quite clear that he is not very pleased with Bernie Ecclestone’s indirect dig. Red Bull amassed a mammoth 860 points in the Constructors Championship with twenty-one Grand Prix wins and a super impressive thirty F1 podiums.

Helmut Marko’s Red Bull could continue its F1 dominance in the upcoming years

While Bernie Ecclestone has not been pleased with Red Bull’s F1 might, there is a very possible chance that they could keep on dominating the sport at least until the end of the 2025 campaign. The current set of regulations has proved extremely kind to the Milton-Keynes-based team.

Moreover, with the way Max Verstappen has been performing for the last few years, there is a growing belief in the F1 paddock that Red Bull could keep on winning until the start of the 2026 campaign. This is the year when the next set of F1 regulations will officially kick in.

F1 has witnessed a slight fall in its worldwide viewership because of Red Bull’s might but this is something that is not going to bother Helmut Marko and Co. The Austrian outfit is only interested in extending its winning run at the pinnacle of motor racing for as long as possible.
