Zhou Guanyu is driving in his rookie season for Alfa Romeo. His season has been great with points at his first season, competing beside his teammate Valtteri Bottas. Zhou had no idea what his future was in Formula 1 with no contract for the next season. This got solved as Alfa Romeo open up with Zhou’s next season contract.

Guanyu has been having some seasons, with points to crashes he has had it all. Zhou managed to score his first points in the very first race, he went on with a few races with no points though he managed to get a very good result. Compared to Valtteri Bottas, Zhou lacks points and skills but being his first year, Zhou’s potential had been given another chance.

Zhou deserved another chance in Formal 1, with only one season given to him to poor himself would have been too strong for the young driver. Fans also reacted with a pleased face as the news made its way.

Fans’ reaction to Zhou Guanyu’s contract extension

With critics of every race on the grid, Zhou seems to have the least number of it. With all of the comments coming out of a happy fan, Zhou’s contract extension pleased everyone. Though it doesn’t much to change in Formula 1 WORLD, Zhou could enjoy another season in Alfa Romeo.

“Good, deserved a second season after all his bad luck, he’s definitely got something to offer,” said a fan.

“I like Zhou. I wouldn’t go as far as to say ‘deserved’ about this announcement though. Isn’t he losing 46 – 5 or something to Bottas?” reacted another fan.

Zhou Guanyu still has six races to put his worth on the Formula 1 table with no stress about next season. The Chinese driver will get a chance to represent himself Infront of his home crowd as China returns in 2023.
