Sergio Perez after 13 rounds is third in the Drivers Championship and has recently admitted that he is proud to be a part of the Milton Keynes-based F1 team.

Moreover, Sergio has also indicated that the contract extension he signed with the team earlier in the season was the right decision for him and his aspirations in the sport.

The Mexican believes that Red Bull has got a plan in place for him and has said, “It’s good to have a plan, it’s great to be working with the Team, l am much more settled this year, I’m happy in the Team, I’m much more comfortable.”

The 33-year-old is pleased with the way things are going and feels that this year he is much more at ease behind the wheel of a Red Bull machinery.

2021 was a struggle for Perez but after having a season under his belt he has molded well into the Red Bull setup and has now got the full backing of the team.

While Sergio Perez has shown himself well during the 2022 season, Max Verstappen once again has been the driver to beat. The Dutchman is in supreme form and is sitting pretty at the top of the Drivers Championship.

Max and Sergio have developed a strong partnership this season and both have contributed to each other’s success. The best moment of the current season for Perez was the Monaco Grand Prix where he was able to land his RB18 on the top step of the podium.

Moreover, in Imola, the team after many years was able to come away with a 1-2 finish courtesy of Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen.

Perez while dwelling over the Imola race said, “After the start of the season, it was very important for the Team, but it’s more important to keep pushing and aim to get a couple more.”

Sergio has set his sights on getting a few more 1-2 finishes for the team and with only 9 races left in the season, how many more can Red Bull really pull off?
