“I became a Tony Hawk in a wheelchair” – Nicolas Hamilton shares inspirational story about brother Lewis helping him overcome bullies
Many know of the story of Seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton, he is considered as one of the GOATs of F1 in the world and is equal to the great Michael Schumacher. However, there are few who know of his half-brother, Nicolas Hamilton, he is a legend in his own right and according to Nicolas, he is Lewis Hamilton’s biggest fan.
Nicolas took to Instagram to post a small video of the motivational speech he gave in Denmark. In the video, he talks of a story between him and Lewis Hamilton in their childhood. Nicolas is a patient with cerebral palsy and was stuck in a wheelchair for five years of his life during his childhood.
Nicolas Hamilton is a driver in the British Touring Car Championship and races with a specially modified car on account of his cerebral palsy. The two brothers have immense respect for each other and Nicolas has spoken out about how his brother supported him through the difficult times in his life.

Lewis Hamilton shows appreciation for Nicolas’ motivational speech
Nicolas Hamilton recently shared a video on Instagram in which he talks about his inseparable bond with his brother and his fight against cerebral palsy. During the early stages of his childhood, Nicolas was confined to a wheelchair on account of his condition and this made him a target of the bullies.
He in turn went to his brother for his help during this difficult time and asked him to on how to handle the bullies to which his brother responded saying, “You need this wheelchair so much, so let’s make you cooler.”
His brother helped him overcome bullies by making him do tricks with the wheelchair, in turn increasing his appeal with the other students in his school. He became a ‘Tony Hawk with a wheelchair’ as a way to overcome bullies and make friends in his school instead of being treated as an outcast and as someone to be pitied.
