“I don’t really care what they say,” Max Verstappen’s loud and clear message to Mattia Binotto and Ferrari
Max Verstappen
Mattia Binotto and Charles Leclerc have definitely come up second best in their battle with Max Verstappen and Red Bull as the reigning world champion has gone on to win 3 out of the last 4 races. Leclerc had a 46 points advantage over Max Verstappen after round three in Australia but he somehow trails him by 6 points now. It’s a swing of 52 points in 4 races which should ring the alarm bells for Mattia Binotto.
Everything has seemed to gone horribly wrong for them after what was a blistering start to the season. The Italian Giants have gone on to lose races from winning positions like we saw in Monaco and also Spain, which should be a concern. We understand that not much could have been done for that engine issue in Spain but Monaco was a complete disaster despite Carlos Sainz finishing P2 and Charles Leclerc, P4.
The win was there for the taking and those were some valuable points that were lost, which allowed Red Bull to further extend their in the constructor’s championship. The silver lining to this situation for Ferrari and Mattia Binotto is the fact that we are just 7 rounds into a long and long season which has ebbed and flowed until now. Ferrari will have a chance to capitalize at some point. They just need to equipped to take it when it arrives.

But, the highlight of the season has been Max Verstappen who has shown why he became the world champion. He seems to be focused on the coming weekend and nothing else. In a recent interview, he said, “We are focused on ourselves and I don’t really care what they say. Our goal each weekend is to win every race.”
“I’m looking forward to returning to Baku, we have some unfinished business there after last year. t’s a tricky track with big braking zones and a tight run off.”
“It will also be interesting to see if we can make our one lap performance better for qualifying as we’ve been lacking a little,” as reported by independent.
The war of words have already started as we prepare for yet another enthralling weekend. Max Verstappen will have that edge with his fresher engine but the season has been pretty bizarre to predict anything.
