“I think Lando should move to Audi” – Fans react as Lando Norris posts a heartfelt message for Andreas Seidl

Lando Norris and Andreas Seidl

Lando Norris and Andreas Seidl had a great partnership in the few years that they competed together. With news of the Ex McLaren team principal moving to Sauber dropping recently, it must have come as a big shock to everyone else in the paddock. However, if you look into the intricate details of the move, you will realise why Andreas made a shock move like this.

It’s a bit sad for Norris since he signed a long term deal with the McLaren squad only to find out that Andreas Seidl is moving midway through Lando’s tenure in order to make a move to Sauber as their CEO. That leaves the Brit with a team that wasn’t what was promised to the young lad. With Andrea Stella grabbing the Team Principal role, things might get better for the team who wishes to win races by 2025.

During his tenure at McLaren, Seidl managed to transform the squad into a proper midfield team with the potential of going back at the top of the leaderboard. Having had a huge amount of experience working with German Auto-giants before, Andreas already had a huge fan following before he came into F1 again as McLaren’s team principal. Here is how the fans reacted to Lando’s message for the departing TP.

Whilst it is clear that Andreas Seidl is leaving the team, it should be noted that he has left the team after giving them a strong base to start planning their comeback into the sport. McLaren’s short term plan is to start winning races by 2025 and Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are the two drivers who will be in charge of taking the plan into action.
