Guenther Steiner has got a seat vacant on his team for the 2023 F1 season, and with six races remaining in the current campaign, he has made it known that Daniel Ricciardo has to decide for himself what he wants to do.

Mick Schumacher is currently occupying the second seat on the Haas F1 team and Steiner has recently said that the German has a 50 percent chance of retaining his drive for next season.

With Schumacher’s future on the team uncertain, there are a few divers who could potentially replace the German for next season, and the former eight-time Grand Prix winner, Daniel Ricciardo is one of them.

While talking about Daniel, Steiner said, “In his situation, Daniel first has to decide for himself what to do. It makes little sense to persuade him to do something; he has to decide for himself. “If he feels like it, he’ll definitely call.

The Haas Team Principal has made it crystal clear that the 33-year-old has to decide for himself what he wants to do next season and ardently feels that the Australian would call him if he would like to do a season with Haas.

The grid for the 2023 F1 season is nicely taking shape and, as things stand, there are only a few seats that are available for next season. At the moment, 4 teams have a got seat available, and Daniel Ricciardo is heavily linked with two of them.

The Alpine F1 team is currently active in the Driver market as they are trying to find a suitable candidate to partner with Esteban Ocon for next season.

Moreover, Ricciardo being a former driver of the French team is a man of interest as far as the 2023 season is concerned.

The other outfit that could land the 33-year-old for next season is the Haas F1 team. It has been quite some time since the American team was linked with the current McLaren driver and as per Steiner’s recent comments, it seems that the ball is in Daniel Ricciardo’s court and it is up to him to make his move.
