Lewis Hamilton the former 7-time Formula One Champion has gotten off to a mediocre start during the current season of F1 as compared to the lofty standards that the Brit set for himself during the turbo-hybrid era.

The Brackley-based silver arrows have looked off the pace during the first four rounds of the 2022 season and Hamilton who made a habit of being at the top during the previous years is currently 7th in the driver’s championship with only 28 points to his name.

The lackluster start of Mercedes is mostly down to the porpoising issue that is hampering the team a lot in their push to keep up with the high-flying Red Bull and Ferrari teams.

Ever since Mercedes issues have come to light people have been speculating regarding the future of Lewis Hamilton and making comments here and there, and in an attempt to put an end to all this Hamilton via his Instagram handle has posted a picture and has written, “Working on my masterpiece, I’ll be the one to decide when it’s finished.”

Hamilton via his recent post has made it clear that he is not going anywhere and the rumors around him are just gossip and nothing else.

The Brit is fully committed to the task at hand at Mercedes and is going to do everything in his power to get the team back to where it was till the last season of Formula One.

He is adamant that no one can decide his future and has made it known to everyone that he is the one who holds all the cards when it comes to his future.

Lewis Hamilton’s teammate George Russell is currently P4 in the driver’s championship with 49 points and this is believed to be one of the main reasons behind the origin of Hamilton’s retirement rumors.

Russell has looked better behind the wheel of the W13 as compared to Hamilton and because of this fact, some analysts believe that Hamilton might be looking to quit before the end of the 2022 season.

The upcoming Grand Prix is in Miami and given what has been said by Hamilton ahead of the race, it will be interesting to see in what mood Hamilton is going to be during the race weekend and more importantly whether he is going to show the desire that he has had for the sport since the start of his F1 career.
