Antonio Perez and Anthony Hamilton have often been spotted together at the races. The pair appear to share a lot of mutual respect and clearly enjoy spending time with each other. Notably, the pair have a lot in common, both their sons are competing in the pinnacle of motorsport and in highly successful teams with Lewis racing with Mercedes and Checo racing with Red Bull.
Lewis Hamilton has always been outspoken in his appreciation for his father, who famously worked multiple jobs to afford his son’s junior racing career. Anthony brought Lewis his first remote controlled car, back when he was just 5 years old. Upon seeing his impeccable hand-eye coordination, Anthony took him to a local go kart track and the rest is history.
Sergio Perez is the son of Antonio Perez Garibay. Antonio is a Member of the Mexican Chamber of Deputies and controversial public figure in Mexico. Antonio first came into the spot light at the 2021 Mexican Grand Prix, where his enthusiastic celebration of his son’s podium won him the enormous approval from the internet. He has since been spotted at multiple races, cheering for his son.

Anthony Hamilton and Antonio Perez set the internet on fire
The pair were spotted together at the British Grand Prix in 2022. They celebrated their children’s podiums by hugging and sharing kisses with each other. In a heart-warming video on the internet, the ‘dad duo’ can be seen talking and displaying mutual affection while Hollywood mega star Tom Cruise watches from behind. Pictures of the pair sharing a peck on the cheeks were also shared on social media by the fans.
While Antonio is a controversial figure in Mexican politics and often critiqued for his views, his pride in his son and his relationship with Anthony has surely won everyone over. Details of the pair’s relationship outside the track is unclear. Although fans hope to see more of this friendship and witness more such moments from both the dads.
