“Is he trying to find Masi to say thank you?,” Twitter share mixed comments as Max Verstappen drives off into the woods in the new Honda ad
Formula 1 is a grand affair that deals in billions of Dollars and Euros as it is one of the most expensive sports in the world. All the participating teams spend an unfathomable amount to pay their hundreds of employees who work day and night to come up with some wildly pricey racecars that are manned by racers who earn in millions every year. And, in order to sustain all these expenses, the thing that is of primal importance in the F1 business is–sponsorships.
Since Formula 1 has become a global phenomenon over the years, it goes without saying that all the international brands jump at the chance of sponsoring the teams which are currently present in the sport. Fashion moguls, investment sharks, business tycoons, and many other massive names are attached with the various F1 teams who inject funds and make profits whenever the drivers bring good results from the Grands Prix. And as the leading team in the F1 world right now, Red Bull has no shortage of sponsorship proposals lining up at their door.
Honda, the Japanese manufacturer, is attached to the Red Bull Racing Team as their engine supplier. Recently, the brand decided to bring in F1 World Champion Max Verstappen to star in the commercial ad for one of their new SUV models, the Honda HR-V. And as soon as the ad made it online, crazed fans on Twitter started pouring in their comments on the Verstappen’s look, acting chops, and other aspects–and the reactions are quite mixed!

Fans make fun of Max Verstappen’s deadpan face in the new Honda commercial
As Honda roped in Max Verstappen for their new SUV commercial, fans were excited to see the Dutchman ditch the steering wheel for some light, camera, and action–but they were left disappointed. Throughout the ad, Max only had about four lines to speak, and he did it in such an emotionless voice that one of the fans commented, “If unenthusiastic was a commercial.” But this is not Max Verstappen’s first time shooting a brand ad as he has collaborated with several names like CashApp, CarNext.com, etc.
Here is what the fans had to say about Max Verstappen’s all-new commercial for Honda–
Considering Max Verstappen’s previous two World Championship wins, the 25-year-old will have an even bigger challenge in the upcoming season. If he manages to get the World title this year, he will enter the exclusive club of the very few F1 racers who have made a World Championship hat-trick in their careers. But for this, Max will have to surpass his rivals like Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton in the points table–and it only remains to be seen if he can successfully do that or not.
