The 2022 Formula One season is at its halfway stage and so far the battle between Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen has been a very placid one as compared to the high-voltage drama that fans witnessed between the Dutchman and Lewis Hamilton last season.

Max and Charles have shown high regard toward each other this season with no over-the-limit action between the pair. Max while sharing his thoughts on battle with Leclerc has said, “We have a lot of respect for each other. If the other has done a good job, of course, you can say that.”

The duo has been in a few fights this season, however, they have never done something that could prove risky for their well-being. They have been very cautious on the track and have treated each other with the utmost respect.

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton had one of the fiercest rivalries that the sport has ever seen last season and during that time the atmosphere between Red Bull and Mercedes was one of huge tension.

The 24-year-old believes that Christian Horner and Toto Wolff were the ones who played a huge role in making the relationship between the teams toxic.

While stressing on the drama of last season Verstappen said, “It was not only between the drivers but also between the two teams.”

Max and Lewis had an epic battle last season and compared to that this year’s tussle between the Dutchman and Leclerc has been nowhere near. However, Verstappen feels that things could get feisty between them come the last few races of the season.

While stressing about it Verstappen said, “If it is, maybe it will be a bit different. We’ll see, maybe at the end of the year.”

The current season has got 11 races still to go and with Charles Leclerc slowly catching Max Verstappen, there are very good chances that things can hot up significantly between the two exciting talents.
