“It’s going to be an interesting battle,” Max Verstappen worried about tyres after Charles Leclerc and Ferrari match Red Bull’s pace
Max Verstappen
The Austrian Grand Prix has been going in the way of Max Verstappen after a successful win during the Sprint race, but at the same time Charles Leclerc is coming up as much of a competition for the Dutchman. The race today started off well for Verstappen and he got lucky after the teammates were involved in battling each other, Max gained a 3 second lead which made it hard for the Ferrari of Leclerc to overtake. This competition between the Bulls and Scuderia have been going on for most part of the season, but as it seemed today, there pace was almost equal.
Charles did say later that the pace of both the cars was almost equal, which is a good news for Tifosi, as this was the main issue that the team had been facing against Red Bull since the season started, but now it seems to be resolving as they have had almost equal speed. The Dutchman said that the race was decent and how every Sprint race should be; completely flat out.

Charles Leclerc and Ferrari could be challenging for Max Verstappen
Verstappen said that due to the equal pace of both the cars, there could be a really interesting battle with the team tomorrow as the race would be much longer. “I think we were quite similar in pace, so I do expect tomorrow it’s going to be a very interesting battle again. The race is a lot longer, so it’s going to be quite tricky on tyres. I think the car is good. There are just a few things to find, but overall, we have been very competitive again this weekend.” GPBlog quoted Verstappen.
Max earned 8 points after winning the race; Leclerc and Sainz managed to get 7 and 6, making a total of 13 for the team. Tomorrow, Max and Leclerc would make the front of the grid for the race start.
