Lewis Hamilton will be racing for Scuderia Ferrari in 2025. The seven-time world champion will be heading to Maranello at the end of this season after spending over a decade at Mercedes. Hamilton’s decision to race for the Prancing Horse has brought back memories of Michael Schumacher for former Ferrari driver Jean Alesi.

Alesi is a former F1 race-winner who raced for Ferrari between 1991 and 1995. The Frenchman claimed that Lewis Hamilton’s personality and charisma reminded him of Schumacher. Certainly, Hamilton’s switch to Maranello might be reminiscent of Michael Schumacher’s move in 1996 for millions of fans.

I hope it is an electric adventure, that it is renewed race by race, around which a universal interest will be generated.

Lewis Hamilton wants to win his eighth world title with Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton has failed to win a single race in the past two seasons. The 39-year-old decided to leave Mercedes after 2024 despite renewing his contract just five months ago. It is clear that Hamilton’s hunger for an unprecedented eighth-world title motivated his move to Maranello.

Mercedes has struggled with the ground-effect F1 regulations. So much so, that Ferrari might be the best bet for Lewis Hamilton to try and fight Max Verstappen and Red Bull for the title. However, it would be a massive task that could only be achieved if Maranello produces a quick and reliable car in 2025.

Certainly, all eyes will be on Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari in 2025. The most successful driver in Formula 1 would race for the most iconic racing team in history. However, it could be extremely difficult for this legendary pairing to meet the high expectations next year. As such it remains to be seen how things pan out for Hamilton at Maranello soon.
