Yesterday, all the fans of NFL turned up to go to the Super Bowl LVII–which turned out to be more of a concert rather than a game. The entire length of the event was dominated by a single 13-minute-act of arguably one of the biggest singers in the world, who has not had a comeback into music in a while. Of course, it was none other than the pop sensation Rihanna, who set the stage on fire during the half-time show at the Super Bowl for this year. And her close friend–the F1 racer Lewis Hamilton was all for it!

Last time Rihanna was seen in a recording studio was for her song, “Life Me Up”, which was featured on the Black Panther original soundtrack. The Barbadian returned to make her fans groove to her beats at the NFL half-time show, which has been known to invite the best performers who have delivered some amazing Billboard chart-toppers. The artists can make the people in the grandstands all cheered up with a brief performance during the half-time break, and this time, Rihanna did even more than that. She made sure that the NFL was all about her brief performance, and she excelled at her job!

Last year, the half-time show saw hip-hop greats Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre take the stage, and this year, Rihanna single-handedly slayed the stage. And Formula 1’s living legend Lewis Hamilton did not pass up on the opportunity to congratulate his old friend as he took to his Instagram account, shared a post that talked about Rihanna’s Super Bowl half-time performance, and wrote a brief, loving note–“[Rihanna] killed it as always“, followed by a big, red heart emoji.

Lewis Hamilton’s close friend, Rihanna, took the stage at the NFL Super Bowl half-time show by storm yesterday, and the seven-time F1 Champion was all for it. So, he immediately reacted when the WMag posted some photos from Rihanna’s perforated on their wall with the caption, “Remember, it doesn’t matter who wins or loses. All that matters is #Rihanna. For the 13 minutes of [Rihanna’s] #Superbowl halftime show the NFL was officially the #NationalFentyLeague.”

Lewis Hamilton reposted WMag’s comments on Rihanna’s epic comeback to concerts and he added his little note to her. This is not the first time that Lewis has hyped the singer from Barbados up on his social media wall. The two are quite close, and have sparked some dating rumors as well, but those were never confirmed and now, it is evident that Lewis Hamilton and Rihanna are close friends.
