And it has been going on in the news since forever that the all-new Las Vegas Grand Prix will be the event of a lifetime for those who visit it. To look over the side of the Las Vegas GP that deals with racing, the FIA have hired Silvia Bellot from Barcelona, Spain. Bellot has achieved some incredible milestones in her career in Formula 1 as she is the first F1 Sports Commissioner and has also served as the Race Director for the GP2 and GP3 series. Owing to Bellot’s long list of qualifications and experiences, fans believe she will be the right person to uphold the spirit of F1 at the Las Vegas GP.

She has been a member of the Women’s FIA Commission, and has acted as a regular collaborator at the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for a long time. According to the latest reports, Bellot will work in Las Vegas under the title of the ‘Senior Director, Sporting and Race Operations at Las Vegas Grand Prix’.

But with Silvia Bellot’s appointment for the Las Vegas GP, the Barcelonian has mentioned that she is ready to get into organizing the huge event successfully. Bellot said, “I am just as comfortable setting and leading strategy at the board level as I am working on the ground planning and organizing events. I have gained experience drafting and enforcing the rules, as well as track safety and sporting procedures in various FIA championships, including F1, F2 and F3.

Silvia Bellot’s LinkedIn profile has claimed her to be “the first and only female F1 Steward and FIA Race Director.” By hiring such an experienced personnel for overseeing the Las Vegas GP, the FIA have proved that they have big plans and huge hopes from the event. And it has also proven to the fans that Formula 1 is taking just the right steps towards becoming more inclusive now than ever before.
