Lance Stroll set to miss out on F1 Pre-season testing after major bike accident in Spain
Aston Martin has issued a statement ruling out Lance Stroll from Pre-season testing.

Lance Stroll will be forced to sit out of the F1 Pre-season test at Bahrain. As the Canadian driver suffered a bike accident while training in Spain. Stroll was in Spain in a bid to prepare for the upcoming Formula 1 season. However, all plans have come to a halt as the 24-year-old is ruled out of any on-track running. Aston Martin issued a statement acknowledging the recent events.
The Silverstone-based team confirmed Stroll’s accident and stated that the injuries sustained by the Canadian “will result in him sitting out the pre-season test in Bahrain.” Additionally, Aston Martin mentioned that Lance Stroll‘s physique will be evaluated every day till the run-up to the season opener in Bahrain. The team wrote, “His fitness to return to the cockpit will be assessed daily. And the team will issue an update ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix.”
Subsequently, the British team hoped for Stroll to recover soon in order to be back in the AMR23. Aston Martin stated, “The team wishes Lance a speedy recovery and looks forward to his usual energy and commitment within the team.” Certainly, this incident is a spanner in the works for the plans of the Silverstone-based team ahead of the scheduled running in Bahrain.

“Motivated to bounce back,” Lance Stroll is ready to work towards making a comeback
Moreover, Lance Stroll too spoke about his riding accident. The Candian acknowledged the incident. He said, “I’ve had an unfortunate accident whilst training on my bike in preparation for the season.” Consequently, Stroll further provided some hopeful words for fans as the 28-year-old mentioned his optimism about returning back to the cockpit. The Aston Martin driver continued, “I am determined to get back in the car and I am excited about the season ahead with the team.”
Further, Stroll added to his will of returning behind the will of the AMR23. The Candian driver said, “I am motivated to bounce back from this setback as quickly as possible.” Certainly, Lance Stroll is a fighter and will not be bogged down by this hurdle. The 28-year-old will do his level best to make it to the Bahrain Grand Prix. Aston Martin has not named a replacement for Lance as of now. Although Stoffel Vandoorne and Felipe Drugovich are expected to be in the running.
Thus, Aston Martin’s ambitious plans for the 2023 F1 season have encountered a major obstacle. The absence of Lance Stroll can severely impact the team’s understanding of the set-up according to his driving style. However, the show must go on. Subsequently, the Silverstone-based team will be forced to call in its reserves to fill in for Pre-season testing.
