Lando Norris banks on Pro-Golfer Rickie Fowler to ‘carry’ him through the Netflix Cup

Formula 1 drivers will take part in the inaugural Netflix Cup right before the Las Vegas GP. F1 drivers, Lando Norris, Carlos Sainz, Alex Albon, and Pierre Gasly will team up with some of the biggest names in Golf from the PGA tour. Now, Norris has revealed that he would be heavily relying on his teammate during the entire event.
The McLaren driver revealed that he has not had time to play Golf in recent months. The busy 2023 F1 calendar might have played a role in this regard. Norris claimed that he must’ve lost touch in the game. Although, the Briton has been trying his hand in the past few weeks to prepare for the inaugural event.
I’ve not been playing a lot of golf at all over the last few months, just for different reasons. I’ve kind of lost touch but I’ve tried to get back into it in the last few days.

The 24-year-old was convinced that he would be up to speed by the time of the Netflix Cup. Although, Lando Norris admitted that his teammate, Rickie Fowler might be forced to carry the team throughout the event. The Netflix Cup will take place at the Wynn Golf Club in Nevada and will be streamed globally.

Lando Norris excited to play in the Netflix Cup
The British driver reckoned that Fowler was perhaps the best-performing professional golfer taking part in the event. Norris claimed that the American golfer had improved in the past few years. Lando Norris and Rickie Fowler will compete against Carlos Sainz and Justin Thomas at the first-ever Netflix Cup.
I watched all of the guys and Ricky is kind of a bit more back on form lately, comparing to where he was at the beginning of the year and last couple of years.
The McLaren driver was thrilled to be part of the inaugural sporting event. Norris reckoned that he was excited to be part of Netflix’s first live event. Although, the 24-year-old admitted that he had no idea how the event would work. Nevertheless, Lando Norris expected the golfing event to be fun for viewers and the participants.

Many are excited to watch the first-ever Netflix Cup. The streaming platform has brought in some big names from F1 and the world of Golf for this event. Moreover, the timing of the event is perfect as it takes place right before the highly-anticipated Las Vegas GP. Although, it remains to be seen if Netflix’s first-ever live event can live up to the hype.
