“We could fight!” Lando Norris ecstatic after sticking his MCL38 in P3 behind the mighty Red Bulls at Japanese GP qualifiers

Lando Norris, the McLaren F1 driver, put his MCL38 through the absolute wringer on his final lap of the Japanese GP Q3 qualifying sessions. He was flying around the Suzuka International Racing Circuit and at the end of it all, managed a brilliant third-place finish.
Lando Norris is on cloud nine with his performance but despite this, feels, there is a bit of catching up to do for McLaren to the Red Bull F1 team. The two RB20s were operating in a league of their own during the recently concluded qualifying session.
At the end of Q3, Norris took the time to share his thoughts on his quali outing.

Looking at the reaction of the 24-year-old, he has made it known that McLaren did a good job with the package the team has in Suzuka. Moreover, seeing the might of Red Bull, Norris also took the time to applaud the Milton-Keynes-based outfit.
Lando Norris wants to do a good job during the Japanese GP
While Norris is pleased with his qualifying exploits around the Suzuka F1 circuit, he is well aware of the job he has on his hands during tomorrow’s 53-lap Japanese Grand Prix. He will have Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz starting alongside him on the second row.
Moreover, the Spaniard has been in a hot vain of form during the ongoing campaign. Despite the challenges, Norris is not willing to succumb to them and is thus, determined to do a solid job tomorrow.

The McLaren F1 team managed a sensational double podium finish at Suzuka during last year’s event. With Lando Norris’s teammate, Oscar Piastri, starting the race from outside the top five, the onus will be on the former to bring in solid points. Norris would ideally be eyeing a podium finish during Sunday’s marquee event!
