Lando Norris, the McLaren F1 driver, is one of the most talented and eye-catching prospects on the current grid. He is seen by many pundits in the same light as that of Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. But for one or the other reason, he has still not won a race in the sport.

At the recently concluded 2024 Australian Grand Prix weekend, Lando Norris was reminded of the same, in a brutal fashion. Norris was reminded of being winless in the sport despite making his debut way back in 2019.

Seeing Norris in the paddock, a fan from quite a distance, yelled:

When are you gonna win a race, Lando?
A fan yelled at the Australian GP

The moment Lando heard the question/sarcastic dig, he took no time in hilariously flipping off the fan and just carrying on with his usual business. This is classic Lando behavior from the 24-year-old McLaren speedster.

Norris has a well-known reputation in the paddock for being a bit of a prankster! He is often seen doing hilarious things and having fun at the expense of his fellow drivers. But for a change, this time he is the one at whose expense the fans are having a chuckle!

Lando Norris feels he missed out on second-place in Melbourne

While Lando Norris is making immense noise for flipping off a fan in Australia, he had an immensely productive outing during yesterday’s 58-lap Grand Prix. Max Verstappen’s early retirement, made the race extremely open.

Norris’s MCL38 worked really well around Albert Park and at the end of it all, he managed a commendable second-place finish. However, during the post-race interviews, he felt an opportunity was missed!

I think our pace has been good all weekend. Being honest, we maybe missed out a little bit on an opportunity to be P2 today. For us to say that, it’s a good sign and I think it’s a good positive for the whole team, a good boost.
Lando Norris said in an interview with Pitdebrief

While the 24-year-old felt that a bit was left on the table, he was able to create a special ‘Carlando’ moment during his podium celebrations with race winner, Carlos Sainz. The duo was immensely pleased with celebrating on the podium after a long time! McLaren had a strong outing in Melbourne and going ahead, they would like to build on it further at the Japanese GP.
