Lando Norris, Carlos Sainz, and Valtteri Bottas, alongside Manchester United stars Raphael Varane and Christian Eriksen, are contributing to Lisbon-based Apex Capital’s Elite Performance Fund. The group allegedly has invested upwards of an eye-watering amount of £42.9m together. The ‘Elite Performance Fund’ will pool funds into several areas such as sports, media and entertainment, including a focus on athlete performance, nutrition and fan engagement.

The American legend Tom Brady has already invested in the said fund. As a known philanthropist, he invests in all the fields related to sports as one of the greatest NFL players in history.

F1’s own starts, Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz, both commented on their recent investment. The Mclaren driver said, “As an athlete, I’m always focused on performing at my best, so it’s going to be exciting to apply this perspective when I’m working alongside APEX to drive innovation in the sports, media, and entertainment space.” Ferrari’s Sainz added, “Being deeply involved in sports has given me a unique perspective on its landscape.

The Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz had quite the tussle fighting for the last podium place in the closing laps of the Italian Grand Prix. After the race, as Leclerc was reliving those final tense moments, Lando Norris quipped, as he so often does, about the Spaniard getting a penalty for his driving.

Leclerc mentioned how Carlos Sainz was moving a lot under braking, which made things very difficult for him. Norris decided to jump in and simply say, “Penalty” as I’d he wanted Carlos to land a penalty upon himself for his driving. But this was all in good humor as Norris and Sainz are good friends and even former teammates. Lando is known to joke around with most of the paddock adding this moment to his already impressive roster of quips and jokes.
