Lewis Hamilton has been in Formula 1 for almost 17 years now. Even at the age of 39, the seven-time world champion still has the same enthusiasm for racing as he did before. Hence, the seven-time world champion has sealed his future in F1 for another couple of years. Now, Hamilton has admitted to being solely focused on his career and not on starting a family.

Hamilton has dated multiple women in the past, but the Mercedes star hasn’t been able to tie down the knot with any particular woman. Recently, the Briton has been rumored to be dating famous model Camilla Kendra for the past few years. Regardless, the 39-year-old recently opened up about his future ambitions and his priorities in his life.

Lewis Hamilton accepted that he didn’t have time to have children anytime soon. Additionally, the Briton asserted that he was unsure about wanting children in the first place. Subsequently, the seven-time world champion added that he would have to focus less on racing if he were to start a family. Hence, due to clear priorities in his mind, Hamilton wouldn’t be able to start a family anytime soon.

I don't have time for that. I enjoy being an uncle. I have also not yet decided whether I want children.  If I want a family, I should focus less on racing. And I don't want that. There is a time and a place for everything. Fortunately, I don't have to make that decision now, maybe someday.

The seven-time world champion recently made a shocking move to Ferrari for 2025 onwards. Hamilton exercised his break clause within his Mercedes contract. Hence, even at 39 years old, the driver is ready to dedicate more years to the sport as Hamilton forms a multi-year contract with Ferrari reportedly worth $430 million. The Briton might be the oldest driver on the grid after a few years, following Fernando Alonso‘s departure from the sport.

Additionally, Hamilton had also mentioned not leaving the sport until F1 returns to racing in the African continent. Hence, one can assume that the 39-year-old would be in the sport for longer than imagined by the people in the sport. Amidst these shocking revelations, the team prepares for the 2024 season with Hamilton’s last year in his long-time team.

The Briton has mentioned pushing his limits for Brackley even during his last season with the team. Hence, the 2024 season would be an emotional rollercoaster for all the Mercedes and Hamilton duo fans. Regardless, the seven-time world champion’s move to Ferrari has been sealed with Carlos Sainz‘s exit from the team by the next year.
