The driver line-ups for almost all of the F1 teams have been confirmed and locked in for the next season. Except Williams, who are yet to confirm their driver paired up with Alex Albon. However, in the midst of all this, Red Bull boss Christian Horner made some bold claims about Lewis Hamilton which have been addressed by Hamilton now.
The Red Bull team boss claimed that some representative of the seven-time world champion had contacted him for talks to join Red Bull before confirming his seat with Mercedes. However, Hamilton has since gone ahead and negated any such claims from Horner and added that no one reached out to Horner on behalf of Hamilton.

The Briton finally opened up in an interview and claimed that these statements from Horner were completely untrue and further Hamilton added that he hadn’t spoken to Horner in a long long time. Additionally, the 38-year-old added that no one from his team reached out to Horner on behalf of him.
I mean it's completely untrue, I've not spoken to Christian for a long, long time. And as far as I'm aware no one from my team has spoken to them on behalf of me.Hamilton told Canal Plus (H&T: @CanalplusF1/X).
However, Hamilton did not fail to recall the fact that Horner reached out to him and not the other way around. The Briton claimed that Horner had messaged him on his old phone which he did not check till much, much later, and talked about the message. Finally, the 38-year-old commented that he did not understand what Horner was talking about.
"C'est complètement faux. Par contre, Christian m'a contacté plus tôt dans l'année"

However, he did reach out to me earlier on in the year about meeting up, but that's it. I just congratulated them on an amazing year and said, 'hopefully soon, I'll be able to fight against you guys in the near future.' That was it.
What did Christian Horner claim about Lewis Hamilton?
Christian Horner, as mentioned earlier had talked about the possibility of Hamilton racing for the Milton Keynes-based team. Horner claimed that they had several talks with Hamilton over the years and recalled the same year’s beginning when he talked about Hamilton confirming his situation with Red Bull before confirming Mercedes.

However, both the drivers Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton would not work out together as teammates due to the mindset-clash of both the drivers. Even Horner talked about this alikeness between the drivers. Further, the boss exclaimed that he was definitely happy with the driver line-up present in Red Bull and did not want a change in the lineup.
Despite the rumors flooding around the paddock, Hamilton has confirmed his position at Mercedes. The Briton continues to race for the Silver Arrows and aims to score a better season the next time around as this season nears its culmination.
