Seven-time Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton has now decided to take up a new challenge by venturing into golf with his investments. The Briton, who is already a proud owner of some minority stakes in NFL team Denver Broncos, joined hands with close friends and fellow atheletes Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, to become a principal investor in their revolutionary sports company, which was established in August of this year.

On August 23, the first-ever post for TMRW Sports dropped on Instagram, and it featured Woods and Mcllroy with Mike McCarley, whom the caption described to be a “veteran sports industry executive”. The startup is presumably aimed at incorporating cutting-edge technology in the fields of sports and media.

As per the reports, Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy started their tech-based startup ‘TMRW’ with the target of organizing a tech-focused golf league in as early as 2024, in partnership with the PGA tour. This league is visioned to come up as a rival to the Saudi-backed LIV, which has been criticised time and again by both the TMRW owners.

Lewis Hamilton has previously voiced his reluctance in racing in Saudi Arabia because of the country’s notions about LGBTQ+ rights and several other human rights issues. Thus, when the Briton chanced upon the initiative by Woods and Mcllroy, it can be considered that Hamilton shared the same concerns as the two pro golfers, and thus he decided to go ahead with the investment in TMRW.
