Stormzy was spotted at several Formula 1 races in the past. He even waved the chequered flag as Hamilton won the 2019 British Grand Prix. Stormzy was one of the artists present at the 2021 Abu Dhabi GP, the season finale, where Max Verstappen won his maiden world title, and Hamilton lost what could have been his record-breaking eighth F1 championship.

Ahead of the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, there were rumors of Hamilton’s cameo in Stormzy’s music video. Martin Brundle, the Sky Sports F1 host, asked Stormzy about what he had heard and whether he had spoken to Hamilton about his video. To which the music icon replied, “No, no, no, I haven’t spoken to him, I wouldn’t even want to speak to him. I’m sure he needs to be in the zone, he needs to be focused.”

Stormzy’s music videos featured actors and sports figures in the past. Last year, Usain Bolt and Jose Mourinho appeared in “Mel Made Me Do It.” Lewis Hamilton is the latest addition to the sports figures who made it to Stormzy’s video. The 29-year-old rapper is a fan of Hamilton, and it is no wonder he wanted him in his video.
