The Mercedes driver made it a mission to provide assistance to individuals from minorities in making a mark on the world. Recently, Hamilton met a group of young talented people at Silverstone.
The individuals were part of the Briton’s initiative, Mission 44. Mission 44 is a charitable foundation that aims to provide opportunities and transform the lives of people who come from underrepresented backgrounds. Lewis Hamilton met this enthusiastic group at the iconic British track to give them an insight into the world of motorsport.

Lewis Hamilton launched Mission 44 in 2021
The 7-time world champion took the decision to launch Mission 44 in the aftermath of the Black Lives Matter movement. The 38-year-old was keen on doing his part in helping out individuals from minorities in developing careers in STEM. Moreover, Lewis Hamilton reportedly invested around $20 Million while establishing the charitable foundation.
Hamilton has been vocal about making a change in the world through initiatives such as Mission 44 and the Hamilton Commission. Additionally, It was even believed that the 38-year-old demanded more involvement from Mercedes in such projects in his contract extension discussions with Mercedes.
