Lewis Hamilton, the former seven-time world champion, is the biggest star in F1. Wherever he goes, the crowd follows, and with the 2024 season getting underway yesterday, Hamilton was swarmed by young fans in the Bahrain paddock.

Lewis Hamilton being the global icon that he is, has a huge fan following all over the globe. He often receives tremendous support from his fans and the recent love that he is getting shown in Bahrain does not come as huge surpise.

Hamilton, despite being one of the older guys on the grid, receives more love in comparison to young stars like Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. The Brit’s current fan-following on Instagram stands at a whopping 36.3 Million.

The stars have so far aligned in Lewis Hamilton’s favor in Bahrain

While Lewis Hamilton is amassing immense attention during the ongoing Bahrain GP weekend, his on-track exploits have also so far proved very strong. Hamilton topped yesterday’s FP2 session with a scintillating time of 1.30.374. His teammate, George Russell was a close second with 1.30.580.

The W15 is functioning very well around the free-flowing Bahrain International Circuit, and Hamilton is expected to have a huge say in the Qualifying session. If all goes well, he could be seen securing pole position for Saturday’s 57-lap Bahrain Grand Prix.

It has been over two years since Lewis Hamilton was seen stepping on to the top step of the F1 podium. The Red Bulls have so far not managed to hit their mark in Bahrain and thus, the upcoming race is a brilliant opportunity for the Brit to secure a Grand Prix win.
