All such things have not at all sat well with Hamilton and he has thus, admitted that the fans should be able to trust the sport.

We're seen and accepted in so many places, far more than we ever have been, which I think has been a real positive. It's really important to stay to the core values. That's about integrity, that's going through processes with transparency and trust. Our fans need to trust us. They need to be able to trust the sport.
Lewis Hamilton said in an interview with racingnews365

Like Hamilton, many of the other prominent names like Toto Wolff and Zak Brown have also called for transparency regarding everything that has been taking place in the paddock. Everyone wants to see the limelight back on the on-track action.

Ex-world champion claims George Russell has given Lewis Hamilton a ‘wake up call’

The 1997 F1 world champion, Jacques Villeneuve, recently gave his verdict on the fascinating situation.

It’s hard for a driver when you’ve spent years winning, and some years easy winning, especially when you had Bottas as a teammate. He got really comfortable with Bottas, and he had a little bit of a wake-up call in 2022 when George [Russell] joined.

Jacques Villeneuve said in an interview with GP Fans

Russell has so far managed 18 points in the 2024 F1 season whereas, Hamilton, on the other hand, is currently ninth in the driver’s standings with only eight points to his name. Considering everything, it will be interesting to see how the two Mercedes drivers stack up against each other around the free-flowing Albert Park F1 circuit.
