Lewis Hamilton is known to be one of the most famous faces in Formula One. As the only Black racer in a sport that has been around ever since the 1940s, the seven-time World Champion always uses his platform to speak on pressing issues that exist in motorsports such as the inclusion of female racers and racers of different colors. Lewis had even endorsed the W series by F1 which was meant especially for women racers.

While the W series was discontinued due to the lack of funds, Lewis Hamilton lended his support for the Susie Wolff-headed F1 Academy series. Lewis has also begun initiatives of his own such as the Hamilton Commission which was kickstarted in 2021. With these movements, the Briton wishes to encourage more and more youngsters from different backgrounds to enter into the world of motorsports. He has also gotten the Mission 44 charitable foundation that serves the same purpose.

Taking notes from Lewis Hamilton’s philanthropy, his team Mercedes launched the ‘Accelerate 25’ programme to encourage inclusion and diversity in motorsports and related fields of STEM. And as a part of the programme’s events, Lewis recently visited the Mulberry School for Girls that comes under the Mulberry Schools Trust, a partner of Mercedes on their Accelerate 25 initiative. Lewis shared pictures from the visit on his Instagram story and wrote a few words too.

Lewis Hamilton voiced support for Susie Wolff when she was put under investigation by FIA

Last week has seen the F1 town go up in turmoil as some allegations went around that said Toto Wolff and Susie Wolff have been privy to insider information that should not have left the Formula One Management quarters. Susie Wolff immediately denied all such complaints in a sternly-worded statement and even brought in the topic of misogyny to explain why such complaints were being placed against her.

While the FIA launched their investigation into Toto Wolff and Susie Wolff and then suddenly called it off all within one day, Susie refused to back down. She took to her Instagram once again and released a statement to let it be known that she would not stop before finding out who instigated such blatant lies against the Wolffs in the first place.

Lewis Hamilton commented on Susie Wolff’s post that came after the FIA removed their investigation into her and her husband Toto Wolff. The Mercedes racer quoted former US First Lady Michelle Obama and also claimed to support Susie always. Susie and Lewis had formerly raced against each other in the junior racing categories when the former was into competitive racing.
