Logan Sargeant and Brad Pitt

Logan Sargeant, the Williams F1 driver, has recently shed light on his first meeting with Brad Pitt in Austin last year. He was asked by the Wantage-based team in 2022 to sign a hat for Brad Pitt. He respectfully declined, considering the huge stature that the Hollywood megastar, Brad Bitt, has among the global audience.

Logan Sargeant, while talking about the incident, said, “I’ve never met someone with that much California vibes, to be honest. Instead of doing knuckles, he was like all-side knuckles. The team wanted me to sign a hat for him. But I was like, like, C’mon… He’s way too cool for that. I can’t sign a hat for Brad Pitt.”

In 2022, Sargeant was not even doing his trade at the pinnacle of motor racing, and taking this under consideration, it is quite understandable as to why he would hesitate in signing a hat for a global celebrity like Brad Pitt. Moreover, it would be difficult for even some of the current F1 drivers to digest the thought of signing something for Pitt, such is his fan following.

Brad Pitt was present in Austin last year during the United States GP and was on official business. As many are already aware, Brad Pitt is in the process of shooting a movie based around F1. It has got Lewis Hamilton on board as executive producer and the Top Gun Maverick director, Joseph Kosinski, looking after the directing side of things.

Logan Sargeant, before his F1 debut this year, was knocking on the door of the sport for some time. However, he has now made it to the pinnacle of motor racing and is competing in the ongoing campaign for the Williams F1 team. Moreover, with four races done in the campaign, he has already started showing signs that he belongs in the sport.

In 2022, Williams’s lead driver, Alex Albon, could easily beat his then-teammate, Nicholas Latifi. But since Sargeant arrived at the Wantage-based team, things haven’t been as straightforward as when Latifi was around. The American has matched Albon stride-for-stride so far in the campaign.

Alex Albon has got way more experience in F1 in comparison to Sargeant, but despite this fact, the latter has been able to hold his own against the Thai-British driver. Considering this fact, how do you see the 2023 F1 season panning out for the only American driver on the 2023 F1 grid? Would he be able to keep up with Albon throughout the campaign?
