Logan Sargeant had been a part of the Williams F1 driver academy for a while until he got the call up to race for the team for the 2023 F1 season. Nyck De Vries had been one of the candidates on the lookout for Williams but alas, he had signed with AlphaTauri. This led to Logan getting a full season seat with the Grove based squad. However, it hasn’t been all that jolly for the American.

For his first season in the pinnacle of motorsport, Logan Sargeant is partnered up with Alex Albon. Alex has acted as the experienced driver and had given Logan a few insights and has been helping him. However, the rookie is still making errors which were expected from him since he is still learning. However, Logan has made progress in recent times having finished 13th in Austria and 11th in

In an interview, here is what he had to say when asked to sum up his season in Belgium. “Ups and downs, [I’m] not where I want to be. “Over the last few rounds, I feel like I’m much closer. I feel like I’ve seen really good progression as of late and that’s the most important thing,” he said. “I think I need to clean some things up. I think, as a team collectively, we can clean some things up and that’s what we need to focus on going into the second part of the season,” he continued.

The American F1 driver is yet to score his first points in F1. The closest he got to achieving this goal was back in Silverstone  where Logan finished eleventh and just outside the points. Meanwhile, teammate Alex Albon has been on a charge as he has scored 11 points so far in the first half of the season. There is also driver contracts that are being considered as silly season might approach.

While Alex is on a long term deal, there is uncertainty over Logan’s future at Williams and in F1 as of now. It is clear that Williams Boss James Vowles has  initiated a five year recovery plan for the team in order to bring it back to its winning ways like in the past. For that, Alex is locked in. It will be interesting to see if that’s the case for Sargeant has James had backed him profoundly.
