When interviewed, Sargeant said, “It’s a lot more difficult than it may seem, and I think it’s the same for anyone from America, Zhou from China, Australia, New Zealand, it’s really difficult,”. He also iterated on the positive aspect of the hardship, saying “At the same time, it kind of makes you stronger, but in the moment, it’s extremely challenging, and I think it’s probably why you see [fewer non-Europeans] in F1” .

Young American racers usually prefer to remain in the United States and participate in the established racing series such as IndyCar, NASCAR, and IMSA, rather than moving to Europe, due to the financial and personal challenges associated with relocation. Moving to another continent can be a major undertaking, involving significant expenses, cultural adjustments, and social disruptions, which can deter many aspiring racers from pursuing opportunities in Europe. As a result, American racing circuits remain a popular choice for many young drivers looking to establish themselves in the sport.

Logan Sargeant is only the third American to participate in Formula One over the span of the last 30 years. The last was Alexander Rossi in 2015, racing for Manor. America’s impact is being felt even more in the sphere of Formula One, however, now boasting being the host of 3 Grand Prix, namely Miami, Austin and now Las Vegas.

The rookie believes that this could incline more American drivers to take the gamble and move to Europe, making Formula One their primary objective. He also spoke of how he looked over the karting list and saw an increased number of Americans, which delighted him.

Logan Sargeant is yet to make a major impact on Formula One, being one of the only two drivers on the grid yet to score points. However, he displays immense talent and potential, and his career is an exciting prospect and will be watched closely by experts. Amid rising claims of he being a money seat, on the basis of the commercial benefits he brings to the team, Williams have rubbished this and have insisted that he is there on merit. He has the faith of the team, and despite his tough journey, he will look to reap the benefits of the seeds of sacrifice that he had sown, many years ago.
