Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton had a fierce rivalry when they were teammates at the Mercedes team between 2013-2016, and one of their most iconic moments came at the 2015 United States Grand Prix when the Brit pushed Rosberg off track going into Turn 1 at the Circuit of the Americas.
Moreover, what made the incident more significant was the fact that, after the race, in the cool-down room, Nico threw his hat at Hamilton for pusing him off the track.
To date, that incident is very much fresh in the memories of ardent F1 followers, and after seeing the recent Tweet of Motorsport, fans haven’t been able to hold themselves back and have reacted to the Tweet.
Mercedes had a lethal combination with Lewis and Nico that had its fair share of ups and downs, but despite everything, the duo was able to co-exist as teammates.
Moreover, Nico Rosberg is the only driver who has managed to beat Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes. Valtteri Bottas during his time with the team was never able to beat the Brit for the Championship.
Lewis Hamilton is optimistic going into the upcoming United States GP
The Brackley-based Mercedes F1 team has got lesser machinery in comparison to Ferrari and Red Bull this year, and because of this fact, Lewis and George haven’t been able to challenge for race victories.
However, as the season has gone on, the team has managed to improve the W13, and for the upcoming United States Grand Prix, there are high expectations in the Silver Arrows camp.
The team is all set to bring its final upgrade of the campaign to Austin and it is believed that the modification is done around the aerodynamics side of the W13.
Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have got four races remaining of the 2022 F1 calendar to score the Silver Arrows’ first victory in the current campaign, and considering how tumultuous the season has been for them so far, can the reigning Constructors Champions finish a race ahead of the super-fast Red Bull and Ferrari F1 team?
