Martin Brundle, the Sky Sports F1 pundit, has given free advice to the Aston Martin driver, Lance Stroll. Brundle is certain that Stroll will be in trouble if he races Fernando Alonso as he did his former teammate Sebastian Vettel. Lance Stroll recently met with a bike accident while training and missed the pre-season testing.

Despite suffering a wrist injury, Stroll participated in the free practices ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Aston Martin driver is known for his aggressive style, he pulled the stunt with Vettel previously. It is different now as his new teammate Alonso would not put up with it and fight back. Alonso has the experience and is known for his battles on track. Hence, Martin Brundle warned Stroll.

Brundle stated after the Bahrain free practice session, “If Stroll puts the moves on Fernando that he put on Seb as his team-mate, he’ll be in the grandstands or he’ll have more than sore wrists!”. Stroll had a difficult time with his injury and needed help getting out of the car during the practice sessions. Apart from this, Aston Martin is over the moon with their results in the FP1 AND FP2.

Aston Martin is the most improved team this season. There is a lot of expectation on them, and Alonso threatens their rivals. Brundle stated, “They might not be right at the front in qualifying, but we do think that during the longer stints, it’s a great car and if anybody can wring the neck and drive the wheels of a great car it’s Fernando Alonso.”

It will not be easy having Fernando Alonso as a teammate. Lance Stroll must tread cautiously. Aston Martin looks very competitive, and Alonso is in his best form. This is good news for the team. Stroll mentioned to the reporters that the car looked great, and he was excited to get back driving. Though these are the early signs, the true performance level will be revealed when they go racing.

Stroll missed the pre-season testing and was replaced by Felipe Drugovich. However, the team and Alonso made sure they informed him of the ongoings within the team. They also stated that he was involved in the debriefs. The Aston Martin drivers were filled with excitement after the practice sessions. While Stroll mentioned he was happy with the car’s performance, Alonso tried to play it low.
